Internet Marketing

Hi, and welcome to the internet marketing page.

Well, internet marketing is a big subject, but l will try to wrap up the whole thing on this page and provide some insights as well. After all, l have been online for some time, (a few years) so l should and will cough up some juicy info, to help you to become more successful online.

Ok, here we go...

Right, first thing is, the internet is big! And even though some facts are not entirely accurate, overall it can be trusted.

Other things you will most likely need, to become more successful online are…

• Autoresponder, (allows you to collect emails)

• Website or Blog, (Blogs can be setup for free, but they have issues, and are susceptible to being hacked). So l don’t recommend free Blogs.

• Basic SEO, knowledge, SEO means Search Engine Optimization, and can make the difference between working hard on a site, which gets little to no traffic in a years time, to a site with great SEO, that the search engines can easily find, and as a result gets more free traffic.

• Shopping cart, PayPal is the one l mainly use, but there are others, including Clickbank, (although with Clickbank you need to create a product first).

• And paid traffic, Adwords is the best, but there are of course others, which generally are not as effective.

Autoresponders

Ok, now with autoresponders, Aweber is the one l would recommend, since they have been around the longest and have the best delivery rate, (most of their emails get through) as well as only costing $1 for the first month, and having a $20 monthly fee after that.

I know that they are probably a little more pricy than some, but you will thank me later, when you build a list and have a more reliable platform than most. As well as more bells and whistles, to sort, etc your list.

Hosting

As said before, you can set up a free Blog, but l wouldn’t recommend it. Hostgator only costs about $10 a month for 10 sites, or $10 for one site, and support is top notch.

Their sites email service may not be the most reliable, but scaling up to a slightly more expensive plan can give you a more reliable site email service.

You can try Bluehost as well, (virtually the same as Hostgator) and save some money by paying for the first year up front.

Both of the above mentioned website hosts also use Cpanel in their admin areas. Particulary useful when you want to install some software that only supports Cpanel.

Shopping Cart

As for shopping carts, PayPal can’t be beat, but it does have its good and bad points.

One bad point is, even though setting up a basic account is easy, if someone orders your product you have to manually process it.

Which can be a pain, when someone orders at 4am your time, and they have asked for a refund, and written something nasty as well, by the time you wake up and take a look.

Even if you clearly state that you don't live in the US, and have to sleep sometime, this will still happen!

If you get PayPal, go to the extra trouble of getting a business account. That way it will automatically process your orders, the customer immediately gets his/her product, etc, and everyone is happy.

The customer can quickly and easily get a full refund as well, (very important).

And PayPal is 100% free.

Paid Traffic

As for paid traffic, as said before, from what l have heard on the professional grapevine, Adwords can’t be beat, but Bing and Yahoo, can still be profitable. Although l have found Bing, to be a trickier beast to get a handle on.

And of course churning out relevant, high quality videos, directed towards your site, that contain useful content to the viewer, is a great way to create quality, free traffic over time. And build a following on your YouTube channel as well.

The Amazon affiliate program, is another good one to consider if you want to sell someone else’s products. But because of their small profit margins, (for you) per sale, you need to target, high cost, high converting products for your site or Blog, to make it viable.

Ok, well that is about it, keep an eye out for more great info, on this site!
